FAMILY LIGHT

OBJECTIVE:  Assembling and supplying of modern portable solar kit affordable by rural household to light                  up the family house. RATIONALE:  The kerosene lantern and candles are commonly used in rural Tanzania. About 80% of the population has no access to grid electricity and relies on the kerosene lantern for lighting and chances in reducing this rate in near years is very very slow, i see family light project is the only solution and a fast move solution to access modern,durable and affordable to rural households. The quality of light is Poor, and the cost of fueling is high. Burnt from kerosene and candles deteriorates people health, the project seeks to replace the kerosene lantern and candles with a modern, economical and environmental friendly means of lighting. INNOVATION/EFECTIVENESS: The family light project offers portable and innovative solar kit made from modern electronic products such as lens type LEDs light,  12v rechargeable battery, 10watts solar panel,. The LED lanterns/bulbs has efficiency and long life, The Family light portable solar kit package includes: Four (4) LED bulb with each bulb having its holder, 10m wire and each wire having a switch, able to light up a four (4) room house of a rural household for  8hours. photovoltaic phone charger thereby increasing access to communication and reducing charging cost.Our product are easily installed, user friendly and easily maintained. The project will establish partnerships with local dealers, street vendors and financial institutions such as SACCOS for smooth delivery of the product. The project will provide huge financial benefits from Tanzania rural consumers. consumer financing will continue to be the only option. Modern lighting will increase the quality of lighting, increase working hours, studying hours and reduce expenses on fuel, therefore providing increase access to modern lighting in Tanzania off grid areas.
